## When the job starts with layers

A poster, composite or image with editable text needs an editor that works with layers, masks and graphics. PhotoCraft’s official description covers those tasks.

Think about the result that must remain editable. Keeping layers matters when another person needs to change text or move an object later.

## When the job starts with camera files

A photo shoot starts with many camera files and selection decisions. LightCraft’s project describes a library, ratings and RAW-development controls.

RAW development and a layered composite can be stages of the same project. An exported image is easier to share, but it is different from the original RAW and its editing instructions.

## Check the handoff between applications

Preserve the source files and test the export format your next editor needs. Compare dimensions, color appearance and any required metadata after import.

The official family directory labels PhotoCraft early alpha and LightCraft in development. We have not verified a complete handoff between them, so this is workflow advice rather than a tested integration recipe.

## Questions, answered

### Are they interchangeable?

No. Their documented focus is different: layers and compositing versus a photo library and RAW development.

### Can I use both?

They may fit different stages of a workflow. Test the export and import you actually need.

### Has this site tested their integration?

No. We provide source-based descriptions and a suggested compatibility check.
